Discover the Power of Connecting with Special Needs and Disabled Communities

Over the next 30 days (5/18-6/18), I have created a mini ‘challenge’ for you. My objective is to help the world discover the power of connecting with special needs and disabled communities, one person at a time. With that being said, I am brainstorming on a daily basis different ways in which I can move this mission forward.

While spreading awareness around these topics is a positive, I hope to inspire you to take action and get involved. Starting today, I’m encouraging you to join Transcending Labels’ first ‘next 30 days challenge.’ The parameters are quite simple, and are as follows:

  1. Commit to volunteer for at least one event or activity that supports the special needs community in your area within the next 30 days
  2. Join my email list and SHARE your experience for a chance to win a free giveaway 🙂

BONUS: When you have decided how you are going to volunteer your time, share it with at least one person OR on your social media, encouraging others to join you!

I’ll start. I am going to be volunteering for the Special Olympics Indiana Summer Games on June 8 in Terre Haute, IN.

Here are a couple of upcoming events in Indiana, Cincinnati, and Columbus over the next 30 days:

  1. Special Olympics Indiana Summer Games— June 7-9, Terre Haute, IN.
  2. Citizens in Franklin County Park Cookout– June 8, Columbus, OH.
  3. Down Syndrome Association Golf Outing— June 17, Cincinnati, OH.

If you are not in Indiana or Ohio, but are bought into the Transcending Labels mission, please let me know so where you’re located so that I can start doing my research on your behalf. In the meantime, a quick Google search should suffice 🙂

Most importantly: What will you do over the next 30 days to involve yourself with the special needs community?
